Currency exchange offices resumed operations from today

TBILISI(BPI)- Currency exchange offices that were suspended during  a state of emergency might resume operations on June 8, Nino Kavtaradze, executive director of the Association of Currency Exchange Offices , said.

The National Bank urges the exchange offices to carefully follow the recommendations and advice from the professionals.

 

Thanks to joint actions, we’ll quickly defeat the virus and get back to the usual business”, – it is said in the National Bank’s statement.

 

In a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Georgia introduced restrictions on the work of the financial sector on March 31, including private currency exchange offices – this function was carried out by banks and microfinance organizations.
