In January-June, Georgia’s exports down 15.6%, imports 16.5%

TBILISI(BPI)- According to the National Statistical Office, in January-June 2020 Georgia’s foreign  trade (excluding non-declared trade) amounted to $ 5 072.5 million that is 16.3 percent less compared  to the same period of 2019.

Exports totaled  $ 1 503.5 million (15.6 percent less), imports stood at $ 3 568.9 million (16.5 percent less).

The negative trade balance was $ 2 065.4 million in January-June 2020 and its share in external trade turnover made 40.7 percent.
