Gov’t to boost transit flights from Russia

TBILISI(BPI)- The Government of Georgia will allocated subsidies in the  amount of 600,000 euros to boost transit flights from Russia through third countries.

It will concern  flights to Tbilisi and Batumi through Yerevan  performed  by Georgian Airlines.

The subsidy will be 90 euros per passenger within the program.

The government does not specify which companies will be subsidized  but at this stage transit flights are operated  only by Georgian Airlines, which has a subsidiary in Armenia.
