TBILISI(BPI)-The Association of American Wine Economists (AAWE) has ranked Georgia in 18th position in their list of wine exporting countries in the world.

According to AAWE, in 2018 the largest amount of wine worth $ 11,055 billion was exported to France . The top five exporting countries includes Italy – $ 7,369 billion, Spain – $ 3,494 billion, Australia – $ 2,160 billion and Chile – $ 1,999 billion. Georgia ranks 18th in the list of exporting countries-  in 2018 Georgia exported wine worth  $ 197 million.

Armenia – $ 9.4 million

Azerbaijan – $ 7.7 million
