TBILISI(BPI)- The citizens of the Czech Republic and Slovakia traveling to Gudauri ski resort in Georgia, tested positive for the novel coronavirus in their own countries after leaving Georgia.
Ana Kasradze, Georgia’s Decease Control and Prevention Center official, said the tourists informed them about it and the center representatives found the areas where the tourists travelled and recommended some citizens to go into self-isolation.
“One citizen of the Czech Republic, who has the travel history in Gudauri on March 4-9, has been tested positive for the COVID-19. He was traveling together with a 6-member team, one of them- a citizen of Slovakia – has also been tested positive for the COVID-19. They informed us about it and we started finding the places where they traveled and had contacts. Therefore, some facilities were recommended to go into self-isolation. We have not make the infected tourists to return back. They did not test positive for the COVID-19 in Georgia since they did not tell about any symptoms while visiting Georgia,” Kasradze wrote on Facebook page.
