TBILISI(BPI)- According to Georgia’s Health Minister Ekaterina Tikaradze, private insurance companies will join the state measures against coronavirus.
The private companies say that the initiative is preliminary and work on details is underway.
“We are ready to carry out the measures against the epidemic, but the Health Ministry’s instructions. We were introduced to the concept of cooperation between the state and the insurance sector at a meeting of the ministry, ” Business Development Director at the insurance company Ardi Mikhail Japaridze notes.
We can’t talk about something specific as there is only general ideas about cooperation between the state and insurers.
“Private sector should provide support to policyholders that are infected with COVID-19. We are providing assistance to those infected with coronavirus, but some details need to be clarified. For example, the frequency of services of family doctors, their assistance to patients, etc. For tis purpose we expect the instructions to clarify the details, ” Mikhail Japaridze explains.
In Japaridze’s words, it is too early to talk about any additional details.
