TBILISI(BPI)- As of September 21, 120 thousand tons of grapes have been  processed in the region of Kakheti –  the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reports.

The daily grape processing rate has reached  more than 10 thousand tons.

The vintage in Kakheti region has entered  the active stage.

 

One hundred sixty-four wine producer companies are registered in the special grape vintage coordination center, while 60 wineries  are involved in the grape processing.

The subsidy will be given to a wine company that will purchase and process at least 1 000 tons of Rkatsiteli or Kakhetian Green. The subsidy per one kg equals 0,30 GEL.
