Growth of Construction Sector Dropped Last Year

TBILISI(BPI)- The National Statistics Office published a report on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 2018. During the year 2018, the construction sector dropped 3.1%, while turnover was GEL 3,272,800,000; In 2017, the sector grew by 13.5%.

According to the statistics, Georgia’s economy was GEL 41,077,500,000 during 2018 and its growth rate was 4.7%. This budget was 5% less than 0.3%

According to the economy sectors, growth is as follows:
Agriculture – growth of 0.7%;
Mining industry – growth by 7.6%;
Manufacturing Industry – Increased by 3.2%;
Energy – growth by 0.1%;
Product recycling by households – an increase of 2.8%;
Construction – decline 3.1%;
Trade – growth of 5.9%;
Hotels and restaurants – increase by 9.7%;
Transport – increase by 9.4%;
Communications – growth of 5.8%;
Financial activity – growth of 13.5%
Operations with real estate, lease and customer service – increased by 12.1%;
The conditional rent use – increased by 1.2%;
State governance – growth of 0.9%;
Education – growth of 3.4%;
Health and social assistance – 6.2% increase;
Utility, social and personal service – increased by 13.2%;
