TBILISI(BPI)- In February 2020, Georgia’s subsistence minimum increased by GEL 2 compared to the previous month.
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the subsistence minimum for working- age male made GEL 199.0 in February, while in January it was GEL 197.0.
According to Sakstat data, subsistence minimum of a single member household amounts to GEL 176.2, for two-member household – GEL 282.0; for three-member household – GEL 317.2; for four-member household – GEL 352.5; for five-member household – GEL 396.5; for six and more member household – GEL 468.8
The minimum subsistence level is calculated based on the minimum cost of items in the food basket, defined by Georgian law since 2004.
