Georgia’s exports up 12.4%, imports down 0.8% in 2019

TBILISI(BPI)- In 2019, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover grew by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $ 12.8 billion, the National Statistical Office reports.

At the same time, exports grew by 12, 4% and amounted to $ 3, 7 billion, imports declined by 0, 8% and amounted to $ 9, 06 billion.

The negative trade balance amounted to $ 5, 2 billion, which is 41, 2% of the total turnover.
