TBILISI(BPI)- 3,473 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in 24 hours, – Alexander Khojevanishvili, Head of the Operational Staff of the Interagency Coordination Council, stated during the briefing at the Government Administration.
“As of today, 3,473 new cases of coronavirus have been identified in 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 detected in the country since the first infection to date is 73,154. We still maintain positive dynamics in terms of the growth of recovering people. In particular, 3,342 people recovered in the last 24 hours, and the total number of recoveries increased to 55,511.
Unfortunately, 37 people died in the last 24 hours, including 13 in Tbilisi, 10 in Adjara, 8 in Imereti, 3 in Kvemo Kartli, 2 in Shida Kartli, and 1 in Kakheti. Since February 26, 2020, we have a total of 636 deaths.
Out of 3,473 cases detected today, 1,493 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 448, Imereti – 513, Kvemo Kartli – 190, Shida Kartli – 175, Guria – 55, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 287, Kakheti – 98, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 119, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 72, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 23”, – stated Khojevanishvili.
