February remittances rose 9.5%

TBILISI(BPI)- According to the National Bank of Georgia, $ 137.3 million was transferred from abroad in February 2020 which is 9.5% more than in February of the previous year. Inflows of remittances increased compared to September by $ 3.4 million.

94.0% of remittances come from the 17 largest partner countries from  which a volume of remittances exceeded $ 1 million in February (92.9% of total remittances in February last year).

In 2020  a total of $ 21.7 million were transferred from Georgia abroad that is 22.4% more compared with the same period of last year
